Spinal Decompression Therapy
Designed to Relieve Low Back Pain

Spinal Decompression therapy has garnered considerable attention in recent years. A non-surgical, non-invasive technique to treat certain types of chronic low back pain, Spinal Decompression works by slowly and gently stretching the spine, taking pressure off compressed discs and vertebrae and facilitating the transfer of fluids, nutrients and oxygen back inside the disc. The procedure has shown strong statistical results for long term relief of leg, neck and low back pain.
Spinal Decompression Conditions

Disc Herniations. The most common condition to be restored with Spinal Decompression therapy is a herniated disc, a problem that usually causes mild to severe low back pain. Spinal compression can cause disc herniations to expand, putting pressure on surrounding spinal nerve roots. Spinal Decompression treatment is designed to relieve the pressure on these damaged discs, so the disc bulge shrinks closer to its original size.

Degenerative Disc Disease. Another common condition on which Spinal Decompression therapy can be effective is degenerative disc disease. Loss of disc height can be exacerbated by spinal compression, causing the vertebral bodies to move closer together. This can cause nerve compression and other forms of low back pain. Spinal Decompression is an effective way of alleviating the pressure on degenerated discs, minimizing or eliminating painful symptoms.

Facet Joint Syndrome. Yet another condition to be restored with Spinal Decompression is facet joint syndrome. Facet joint syndrome causes pain due to arthritic changes in the vertebral bones. Spinal Decompression helps to create more space between the vertebrae, which often results in a reduction of painful symptoms.

Spinal Decompression Methods

Old fashioned attempts at Spinal Decompression therapy are now obsolete. Pulley and weight traction systems can be dangerous, and inversion therapy is best left for fitness usage.

If you think Spinal Decompression therapy might be the right therapy for you, talk to a chiropractor and ask him/her about a state of the art machine for Spinal Decompression therapy called the SpineMED table.

The SpineMED Table is designed to comfortably and accurately increase intersegmental disc space, providing non-surgical Spinal Decompression of lumbar discs.

If you have tried several unsuccessful treatments for your low back pain, and you want to avoid surgery—with its poor results for pain relief, its risks, and complications—Spinal Decompression on the SpineMED Table can be your best alternative.
