MRI OF LUMBAR SPINE
INDICATION: History of disc herniation and bulging, Post treatment evaluation.
TECHNIQUE:
Sagittal and axial T1 and T2 weighted imaging was obtained in the neutral sitting position on a Fonar upright MRI. Comparison is made with exam of 3/14/05.
INTERPRETATION:
Again demonstrated is a right paracentral disc herniation at L5-SI. The disc herniation has decreased in overall size when compared with previous examination.
On previous exam the maximal measured size of the disc
herniation as measured from the annular fi brosis to the posterior
margin of the disc herniation was 6mm. On the current examination, this measures 4 mm.
Courtesy of Upright Imaging of Westchester County “This patient presented to our office with severe leg pain. At the beginning of treatment he rated his pain a 9 on a pain scale of 1-10. After 1 month of Spinal Decompression therapy he rated his pain at a 1. This improvement in the disc herniation has afforded this patient a better quality of life”, says Dr. Caruso."
